Edited my whole review, so members can comment again..Here I go, firstly I would like to mention that , I had purchased this bike in Jan 2007, more than 4 years now..It is still going well enough, my running is very low, till yet I have covered only 12.7k kms.The pick up of the vehicle is nice, has very short gear ratios; means one has to shift to higher gear very early, vibrations @50 km/hr is common with this vehicle, due to which rider feels discomfort, also scary whether to acclelerate more or not.. :P.
Regarding the bikes mileage... Min, I have attained is : 50km/l and max limit I have touched (when it was new and handled it very carefully) was : 72km/l... (not a joke)..Till yet, have only replaced engine oil time to time , have never gone to any service center, as I hate the mechanic’s handling , I do everything by myself, and yaa.. have installed a Minda battery too, original (I think it was exide) died after serving me for more than 3.5yrs..
Surprisingly, I have never ever put brake oil in the disc tank (located on the handle bar) also have never tighten up the rear brake, and still the brakes work flawlessly.Earlier I use to fear a lot, due to thin rear tyre but now I know how much is the capability of it, so touchwood , I have just fallen once from it... :D..All in all , a decent city commuter bike, recommended for one who prefers to ride at lower speeds..
