HMSI's Honda CBF150 - Same Day Delivery

Introduction:

Unicorn is HMSI’s first motorcycle in India. It is a 4 stroke, 150 cc, 13.3 bhp, 5 gear vehicle available in 5 colours - blue, red, black, grey and silver. It can race from 0 to 60 kmph in approximately 5 Seconds, reach a maximum speed of a little above 100 kmph, deliver about 40 to 60 kmpl and effortlessly carry a load of 170 kg on Indian roads. The moderately sized 13 lts fuel tank, with 1 lt reserve capacity, looks perfect on this long length 140 kg vehicle.

The aerodynamic and sporty design appeals to the younger generation with its racy front, voluminous tank and sleek rear. A host of new features and technologies from Honda sets Unicorn in a class of its own. Advanced design diamond frame, mono suspension, knee grip and flexible seating position add comfort, while easy start in any gear, front disc brake and puncture resistant rear tyre tube add convenience. Standard accessories include one sari guard and two handlebar mirrors.

You will never regret being a wing rider!

Customer Service:

Customer service is excellent at some dealerships. After a few visits to different dealerships, I could find one who was interested in doing business with me. I found that small city dealerships usually treat you well and you can do a lot more than just a test ride.

Booking and Delivery:

You may not have to book and wait for long, if you visit many dealerships and figure out who has what in their stock. Some may have colours that have few takers. If it is your colour, go ahead and strike a deal. I booked and got my vehicle delivered the same day.

Optional Accessories:

I do not know which optional accessories are from HMSI as they have not yet published it on their web site or displayed it at their dealerships. At present optional accessories and their availability is differing from dealership to dealership. My dealership offered these:

  1. Front number plate.

  2. Rear number plate.

  3. Crash guard.

  4. Handle grip.

  5. Turn signal buzzer.

  6. Fuel tank cover cum bag.

  7. Seat cover.

  8. Teflon coating.

I have heard that engine cover, engine guard, carrying case and electric starter will be available soon.

Pros:

  1. Light weight vehicle.

  2. Low riding position.

  3. Excellent engine finish.

  4. Low noise engine.

  5. Can start in any gear.

  6. Good shock absorption.

  7. Puncture resistant rear tyre tube.

Cons:

  1. No electric starter.

  2. No alloy wheels.

  3. No trip meter.

  4. Average quality fuel knob.

  5. Average quality fuel tank cap.

  6. Gap between fuel tank and side panel.

  7. Obscured front number plate.
