Unicorn-A complete package

Unicorn -The real performer. I’ve been amazed by this bike inside out.

My bike is 7 months old as on april ’07.

Looks: Looks great especially when u look from the back.. I’ve heard many complain about its rear fairing vibrating, but it has been taken care of in the new version. So no more vibrating parts anymore. its Seating design feels comfortable even on a long ride. No back pains.

Great engine in unicorn unlike its 125cc counterpart(shine). I’ll say smoother than any other bike in India. I call it smooth and powerful. It feels as if u are just whizzing away on a cloud when u are below 40’s. But makes a powerful yet smoooooooth beat when above60kmph. Can’t resist that Beat. No problem of starting at any time. I never needed a choke, set well apart from other bikes.

Transmission: No noise when changing gears. Never missed a gear. no chain noise(unlike pulsar). Very smooth I would say. Can easily touch 100kmph without much hullabaloo.

Electronics: rear light looks damn hot with that silver lining at the edge. Not a powerful Head Light. A powerful head lamp would have done better. Horn is much louder even with a single one.

The big round dials are very much appealing to eyes.

Both the Light modes seems to be focused at a farther distance. so dont expect to see nearer pot holes in darkness.

The mono suspension is Great. It makes the whole bike verrrry much stable. I dont know how many times it saved me. Control of the bike is wonderful.whatever may be the reason behind it’s great control but it saved me several times from falling off due to sudden braking and all. Dont expect mono suspension to work wonders from day one. A little adjustment from ur showroom will do. But it has seen some development over the previous models- it doesnt make the back tyre touch the mudguard now as in the previous versions when two more people are ridin with u.

Fuel Economy

It’s givin me a constant 58+ in Hyderabad’s worst traffic conditions. and even a 65kmpl sometimes

But with its Pickup almost equal to Pulsar its mileage is commendable.

The new alloy wheel version is out but with its pro’s and cons. but I still like the 2006 version with neat and bigger graphics on the tank. Alloy wheels are good on the new version. New versions’ headlight may be a copy from CBZ’s Extrme. Dont like new version.
