Very Good Bike . Still smooth even after 6 years

Finally I have decided to write a review since I am very happy to use this bike for the past 6 years. I have bought this bike in January 2007 but only covered 30, 000 Kilometers yet. Believe me my bike is still very smooth even after 6 Years and there is no major problems yet.

I have serviced my bike in 2010 Feb. After that I haven’t serviced my Bike.  I have just changed the Engine oil Twice and changed the Suspension oil once. That’s it. But the bike is smoothly running without any issues. The reason for not servicing  is the poor service from the Dealers of  Honda in Bangalore. I think there problem is they have to handle a lot of Bikes especially Activa( The best 2 wheeler you can buy in India) than their capacity daily. Their attitude is anyway they are selling more than enough bikes , so no need to care about the service. So I have decided to just change the Engine oil and wash my self and if any problem comes repair that time. But for the past 2 years my bike doesn’t have any issues. The service of Bajaj dealers especially Popular is very good compared to Honda. But Unicorn is far better than Pulsar if you are looking for a long time use.

This bike is really a flying machine and there is no noise at all when you ride this bike even after 6 years. The mileage is just 40 Kilometers in the City. The distance between my home and office is just 8 Kilometers but there is 11 Signals. I am not riding my bike smoothly, usually I take speed very fast and suddenly reduce the speed. So you can expect only this much mileage. But if you go in the roads with less traffic and signals I am getting 50 Kilometers mileage. Never tried outside the city.

The best parts in this bike is it’s Engine, Tyre and Suspension. All these are still in very good condition. Suspension is very good compared to other bikes especially when you sit backside. The bike turns better than pulsar.  I am easily turning my bike everyday when I take my bike out of my House. But the Pulsar guy struggles..

The gear shifting is very smooth compared to Pulsar. My bike starts in a single kick even after 6 years. But the breaks and the width of  Tyres of Pulsar is better compared to Unicorn.  But I think more wider Tyre means you will get less mileage.
