Hi all! so I’m back with my second review on the HONDA UNICORN. The difference is I own one now.
Let me split my review into phases so that its easy for ppl to read.....
so, , , I had buked a SILVER Unicoen with ES on Feb ’4th . I was asked to wait for 30 days. I waited. After 30 days I was said that the delivery of ES version is uncertain and that it may take more time. I could not wait ... so I went for the normal one and got mine on March 9th.
Its been 13 days of sheer pride and pleasure and comfort and style.........
I’m beginning to like my bike better day by day......
LOOKS!
let me tell u all one thing.. Unicorn is really not a glamour queen so that u fall in love at the very first sight......
but I tell u it grows on u... the luks grow .... I jus keep lukin at my bike all time... UNICORN really luks coool man...
One edge unicorn has over the pulsar in the luks segment is that we are used to seein pulsars in thousandss.. ppl don’t stand and stare at a pulsar anymore..
But unicorn apart from lukin good has a new different look which catches everyones eye... I don wanna rate unicorn or pulsar in this regard.. both luk gud. I just say that unicorn has that edge....
And ppl don keep sayin that unicorn luks normal ... I flatly deny that..
COMFORT
I don’t have anythin new to say in this regd.. when it comes to comfort , unicorn seems to be the best...
MILEAGE
Cooooooool. My bike has jus crossed 500 kms giving 54 p/l on avg.. thats really cool.. but I did not try and fly with mine.. I just maintained between 45 and 55 km/h. so , after the first service hopefully the mileage tuches 60.
Now we can say, Unicorn scores above pulsar in this segment.
PICK-UP
Pick up too is cool. I haven’t really raced with mine yet. But at times when I had to overtake vehicles Uni really zooms....
Once the engine is set and after the 1st service the pick-up will get better
Now I think I’m just repeating things !!! we all know all these....
About the engine, this is where I think Honda will stand out. but we will come to know about this only after some years when the bike gets old and the engines doesnot.......
Ther are a few cons too...
1) My kicker is back-firin quite frequently now
2) I felt the tail lamp vibrating ( when I drive fast on bad roads)
3) as v all kno about the missing trip meter, stnd indicator, and the soft horn, etc
4) the cabinet below the seat, its a bit buggin to unlock the seat and the seat comes with ur hand.
certainly the above were not xpected of HONDA, but as a whole UNICORN is the best choice now in the 150 cc segment in India.
One thing which is really experienced is, , , , ,
I see ppl driving parellel with me while on roads and just staring at my bike , some even ask me about the bike....mileage performance etc...
I’m enjoyin the pride of owning a brand new model , which gives u an identity....
So rush and get urs, ... coz once unicorn gets very common, u mite go unnoticed.......
And GUYS , don think girls prefer only louder, rough bikes......
Try the unicorn with one girl and u’l kno... they’l love it...
So, , , don’t keep waitin , , , , ,
Go for the honda unicorn.... and take home the pride of owning a HONDA....
