Honda Unicorn 150 cc

I want this to be short and specific.

I tried many bikes, but me buying this means I saw things which are really ahead than other bikes....

1. the bike is really powerfull, and the pickup, is far ahead than bajaj pulsar.

   
   




2. although the bike is heavy, when you drive it, you find the beast totally in control, even if you are slim (i am not very healthy, but can control it very easily), whereas I found pulsar to be a bit heavy in heavy traffic.

   
   




3. good shockers, the bike rides really good.

   
   




4. well placed instrument console, which is easy to read.

   
   




5. Good looks... take black color, and the bike is really good looking.

   
   




6. Convinient auto start.... touch the button, and the beast comes to life... even in cold climate.

   
   




7. Brake is excellent, no heavy feeling even at 90 kmpl....smooth stopping.

   
   




8. can do 120 kmph

   
   

But, there are a few drawbacks also

1. the front headlght cover is noisy, as soon as you rev up the engine, you can notice sound from the front plastics...

   
   




2. Horn is very small, I got a pulsar pair installed.

   
   

Overall, if you are a serious biker, and are looking for some good riding and performance, go for this bike. but if you are young, and are looking for only manly looks even if with sluggish performance, go for pulsar.

And, the bike costed me around 54 e xhosroom Delhi. and around 57 all inclusive of tax etc... this is for autostart model. For non-autostart, deduct around 3 grand. Although this doesn’t match hero honda etc., but the price is a litle higher than all other things available in this range, , , even Fazer costs around 51. But beleive me, the cost is worth it. On the standards of CBZ, but much better power/performance feeling.

A few cons (added later):

1. There is a strange sound in rear brake, which comes sometimes, a strange thud, but the service people dont listen as this comes without any pattern.

   
   




2. The switch which controls that the self does not work without presing clutch (only when the bike is in some gear), becomes lose often, and you have to tighten it by hand.

   
   




3. the Front plastic is very noisy, aorund half RPM limit, you can notice the plastics on front making noise as if they are lose...

BUT, all these small problems are nothing compared to the power and performace, adn looks that the bike gives.

I have got installed dual horns (from Pulsar), and now, I think there is nothing that is to be done .
