SInce the time I brought a Unicorn, I have really started expecting the unexpected. Unicorn though everyone knows now is a 150cc motorcycle from the worlds largest two wheeler manufacturer Honda.
The bike is truly a Unicorn, gentle to the core, absolutely fast when need arises and trustworthy down to its soul. I believe that my bike is truly alive.
The first time I test rode a Unicorn, I was skeptical about riding anything but an enfield. (Which I still own by the way) but one ride on the Unicorn convinced me of the truly astounding quality that symobilises this Brand.
Unicorn does 0 - 60 kmph in less than 5.5 secs and gives me an average of nearly 59kmpl. What else does any one want? I have now been riding the motorcycle for the past 11 months and not one rupee I have had to shell out for maintainance purposes. With the top whack of nearly 120kmph ( I have taken it to 112 kmph) the motorcycle is as fast as any other motorcycle in town. (If not faster) and the Monoshock is truly a delight on any road conditions.
Hondas tuff up tube has helped me come out of sticky puncture situations twice already and the fit and finish of the motorcycle is truly worldclass. The gearshift pattern of the motrocycle, the clutch etc all are butter smooth and the bike exudes quality from the front to the back.
I had the graphics removed for they were too harsh for my liking but other wise I believe that the motorcycle is amongst the best in its class even with new competition coming in like the apache - Test ride the Unicorn aloongwith Pulsar, Apache or Achiever to know what I mean. Though the achiever might support the same 150cc engine as the Unicorn does but overall the difference is very apparent once you test ride all the bikes together.
My recommendation - Buy this bike if you like biking.................
