I purchase Honda Unicorn (self start) in May 2006 in Ludhiana, Punjab for Rs 60000- (all expenses like registration, accessories etc. included). I don’t have much to write, but would like to highlight my experience with this bike in short:
Very reliable and smooth engine. Start with single push of button in summer and in harsh winter need choke to start. I have never used KICK to start it except on first day that too only for testing.
Considering the heavy rush of Honda Activas in the service station, their engineers fail to give full attention to you and lack courtesy. Though fairing of my bike is making slight vibration/ noise since purchase but their mechanics have failed to repair it on second service, however, during third service they rectified the noise.
I get 55-57 km average. I test mileage very regularly, the maximum I got was 59 km/l and minimum was 53 km/l. Pikcup is good. Gear box is very smooth, Horn make feeble voice and most of traffic hardly notice it.
