I am a wing Rider

Hi All, I m Devesh and this is my first review on Mouthshut.

I was looking to buy a Motorcycle this July and a very dear friend suggested that I should go for Honda Unicorn. I am new to motorcycles, although I was having my WagonR for last 3 years. Earlier I was thinking of buying a Pulsar 150, but I trusted my friend and went for Honda Unicorn.

On 21st July, I got my ’’Ram Pyari’’. I discovered Mouthshut after I got the bike but have been reading the reviews on Unicorn since then.

Unicorn is powered by a newly developed Honda 4-stroke, 150cc engine and incorporates many cutting-edge technologies developed by Honda’s global R&D team. It sets new benchmark with its swift acceleration, superior mileage, international styling, riding comfort and convenience.

With the 4-stroke, 150cc engine delivering a whooping 13.3 bhp, Unicorn is the fastest motorcycle in India racing from 0 to 60 kms per hour in a mere 5 seconds. It has a distinctive sporty and macho design with a racy front face, masculine fuel tank with knee grip and a sleek rear cowl.

Unicorn offers perfect balance of pickup and mileage, delivering 50-60 kmpl through its famed 4-stroke Honda engine, cutting edge technologies like Multi-Mapping CDI, Tumble Flow Combustion Chamber, Roller Rocker arm, and a Classy Aerodynamic Body.

But you have to ride it to believe it. My bike has done 2200 kms hasselfree. There is no vibration at high speeds (90+) and you have to see the speedometer to see thay you are going at such a speed. You can simply fall in love with this bike.

Although lookwise you can argue that Pulsar is better than Unicorn but I can say that the Wings of Honda definately stand out in the ’’Crowd’’. It has more mature and graceful looks.

As for the CONS, Honda should provide a Leg Guard as a part of Standard equipment (as its a basic safety feature)and a tripmeter. Alloy wheels would be great to have. Overall a very satisfactory bike to have for Rs.56000/- on road with accessories in Chennai.

I have got Wings and thoroughly enjoy my flights.
