Honda has always been on wings when comes to two wheeler segment. Its world class bikes has always proved their mettle on the road. Honda has been at top spot in its superbike segment since long. Back in 2005 Honda launched Unicorn brand in Indian market, and consequently it got good response for its smooth ride and single rear shocker. Since then its has relaunched its Unicorn brand with new features.
Though, its looks has some classical features of Indianisation, it had performed good on Indian roads. While clearing skepticism about the rear single suspension over the period of time, it proved great on bumpy Indian roads.
The, about, 150cc engine give the mileage of about 60 kmpl which is not so bad considering the level of expensiveness of petrol in Gods own country. But considering the cubic capacity of engine, the performance of engine in terms of mileage is attractive. And also why would someone bother about the mileage when the unicorn ride is swift and smooth.
Talking about the torque, the rider is made to feel like he is the participant of Grand Prix. The brilliancy in turns made by the one horned unicorn is like sailing of hawk in air. The grip provided by tyres is very good.The comfort provided by the torque figures of the bike is incomparable. Hardly have been there any in this segment where you can touch your knee on road while taking turns.
Speedometer provided is little bit annoying, Here, the company could have been more creative given the prevailing conditions of digitalisation in the country.
Though Honda missed modernization in terms of looks provided by it in this bike, yet the features provided in it are enough to win hearts of its customers. Alloy wheels added some looks to the already classical nature of the bike. Headlight is good looking but it adds an impression of the famous CBZ bike. It could have been made in fixed pattern like other bikes using this feature which made them more famous. Taillight is also good but could have been made more attractive.
Last but not the least Honda did good but could have won more hearts by launching more attractive product, though in terms of quality and performance it is number 1 brand.
