Hi to all.I am using this bike for the past four month and covered 3500kms .I am not like this, decided to buy a bike yesterday and booked it today and got the bike next day. I searched for the bike about 6 months and booked the "UNICORN" and waited for 2 months and got the bike on August 19th 2009.Why I chose HONDA UNICORN?1. Honda company established in 1948 for manufacturing car and they manufacturing bikes since 1958.The main motive of the company is "QUALITY".2. Honda not only manufacturing bikes.They manufacturing cars, Engine for generator, Engine for Marine applications, Robotics. All are quality products.3. I searched in the internet and compared all 150 cc bikes with UNICORN.It scores less for it looks, but I saw one statement in all the comparisons with other bikes "ENGINE IS SMOOTH BUT NOT SMOOTHER THAN UNICORN".The major part of the bike is Engine, so I choose this.4.This is the only bike in 150cc segment, which produces maximum power at lower rpm(5500), so it does not requires frequent gear change and also delivers good mileage.
In my point of view Honda is the world’s No:1 bike manufacturing company because, Hero Honda still using the technology fromHONDA, so it is the world’s No:1bike manufacturing company.
One day I saw this program in "DISCOVERY CHANNEL " Ten best bikes in 20th century "In that program "HONDA CUB" also discussed and it placed in No:1 position.even a Harley Davidson Bike placed in No:3."Honda cub "is the first Moped from Honda released in 1958, Which is 49cc four stroke engine and it delivers 4.9 b hp.The main reason for placing it first is "Durable and Quality"
- They dropped the bike from20 feet, but nothing happened to the bike and still it was in running condition.2. They used CRUDE OIL andcooking oil to run the bike, but it runs well.so that only they placed it in first position.Petrol engine is running in Crude oil and cooking oil.
Everyone knows BAJAJ M80, which is the copied version of Honda cub.It’s true if you see the Honda cub you can realize it.
MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BIKE
1.It does not gives any racing throttle response, but it’s speed increases constantly and does not gives any jerk.2. Very good breaking system.3. It almost delivers same power in plane surface and in flyover.4. I can feel the weight of the bike during cornering at slow speed.5. I am an average physique, it’s hard to parking the vehicle due to its weight.6. I am getting a mileage figure of 58km/l.If Pulsar 150 delivers 55-60 means its not a matter at all, because it approximately 10kg less than UNICORN and also uses Dts-i.so you can realize the efficient engine from Honda.7. Up to 80km/hr there is no vibration. When it cross this limit I can fell the vibration.8. It gives me comfort.I really loves the riding posture of this bike.you can beat other bikes in the cornering.9. I got the bike from "HASAN HONDA", which is located in Pondicheery and they have good customer care and support.I finished two free service till now there is no problem in the bike.
"First impression is the best impression"this is my first bike from Honda in future also I goes with Honda.If Honda CBR150R launched in India means that will be the next bike for me.It can easily overtake PULSAR220, KARIZMA, YAMAHA R15.This bike delivers 18PS andtop speed of 160 km/hr and also it useswater cooled engine withautomatic exhaust fan operation.We can expect the price Rs 1lac.I surely goes for this bike.
