I am using this since Nov-13 and I regret every single day since.
Good:
Looks official and decent.
Engine is smooth and the bike rides silent on the road when compared to all other bikes.
Mileage is good in highway, good but ok ok in city.
Bad:
Doesn’t look like a 150cc bike("IS THIS 125cc?" this is what most of the people asked me)
Gear shifting is very bad, it is so difficult to shift from 5th to 2nd gear and it get’s me mad everyday. What I mean to say is I feel it very deep to put the gears, you need to push your toe for more than a inch to put the first gear and the same for 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th gears. Most of the times when I am in 5th gear of about 60 kms speed and suddenly I put a break, the bike stops but I can only manage to shift only to 3rd or 2nd gear, because it’s so deep for every shift and I have to put my leg down and put it to 1st gear and again move on, it’s very very bad.
Most importantly the MONO SUSPENSION IS THE WORST. Previously I used other bikes with short handle for more than 12 years I did not have any back pain, but now I am on honda unicorn(i am using company handle only) I am suffering from severe back pain. It just throws me up for even a small ditch. I feel there’s no suspension at all for this bike(like tractor). The pain is so much that I had to visit the doctor and under medication. I also tried a long ride on this bike on NH-4 from Hubli to Belgaum(220kms both sides) the road is No.1 but believe me I still had horrible back pain, I really had to stop and take frequent brakes. I felt a kind of a burning on my seat(bums) and I had to had to had to get down and relax in order to move any further. After all this I limited using this bike only in city limits. I visited the Nagshanthi service centre Hubli as many times as possible but the problem is not getting solved. Except the service manager all other staff sounds non-technical in their talks they nod their head and say it’s very good even before listening to your problem-so foolish They argue that the suspension is 100% fine. Even the general services of Honda service centres are bad, 10 days after the general service my bike there was a break down and I was shocked to open the spark plug and see carbon, they are good at one thing that is charge you Rs.60 for polish even if you don’t ask for it.
Though the engine is excellent, mileage is good, pick up is good but if this is no comfortable sitting on the bike how can I dare to raise the accelerator? believe me I always ride it under 40 km/hr speed because it’s so uncomfortable and throws you up for every single ditch and hump and there’s a kind of burning sensation on the seat.
