I just bought a new honda unicorn on 14 june 2009 from AMAR HONDA ROORKEE.Let me tell you some things.The bike is very good in technical terms. It has the best engine in 150cc segment.But it has poor looks. If you ask any local roadside indian mechanic, he will ask you to buy a pulsar.
He will give you some reasons like pulsar spare parts are cheap, resale value of pulsar is very good because of it’s good market also pulsar is more stylish.But pulsar is not a class product. It’s a desi indian hit.Engine of pulsar is harsh.ONE MAJOR PROBLEM WITH PULSAR IS IT’S DIGITAL SPEEDOMETER AND LED TAIL LIGHT. THERE IS NO REPAIR FOR THEM.
THEY ARE LIKE CHINESE ELECTRONIC ITEMS. WHENEVER ANY PROBLEM OCCURS YOU HAVE TO REPLACE WITH A NEW ONE.In conventional bulb tail light, only bulb fuses , so you can easily replace it.Also repair of conventinal speedometer is vey cheap. Now coming to honda unicorn it does’nt have a good resale value.It’s market is very poor because of company’s marketing policy and due it’s looks as compared to cost.Also seat of new unicorn is very stiff and hard not suitable for long ride as compared to pulsar although riding postuer is good in unicorn.Despite all of these factors HONDA UNICORN IS THE BEST BECAUSE OF IT’S ENGINE AND STABILITY.
