I have been using my Honda Unicorn since 6 years and 7 months. The total run is 69000+ kms. I bought it on 4th June 2008 and since then it is my reliever. I have named it as my ’Black Mamba’.
Looks: It was the first bike to have 3D wings on it. Attracted me eventually and I took the correct decision to buy it. Was one of the few new ones’ in Pune.
Mileage: After this many years it is giving me a mileage of 53+ which is great.
During the first two years, it was always above 58. After the first servicing I got an mileage of 60-62 for a long time.
Reliability: As I have a rough usage and run a lot, I was looking for reliability and for long drives. Thanks to my bike, have only replaced the suspension fork once for wearing and rest all are still the same and working fine.
Comfort: The cut given to the fuel tank is very ergonomic and my legs fit well in that. The handle is also at a comfortable position and comfy.
The seat is long and well placed. I do not have any 4 wheeler, so used to take my pregnant wife to see the gynecologist on it with complete trust.
What else is remaining? Yes Cons: The pickup goes down with time, but that happens with every other bike. You can always adjust the rpm to achieve good pickup.
Service provided is good in Pune and hence would recommend this!
