I own a Unicorn for the past 4 years. And to be very frank, I have been really reall y pleased with my bike.I had the option of going for a Pulsar back then, but I stuck to gut feel and went for the Unicorn.
It has easily been one of the better decisions I have made.I fell in love with the bike’s Gearbox. It is ultra refined and super smooth.I especially love the way the bike handles in the city. You can snake through traffic with ease.The pickup of the bike is quite good. You are bound to tear away from the traffic if you happen to be in the front few rows of a traffic signal :-)
The bike performance is fantastic in the mid-range : 4000- 6000 rpm.The top speed is around 110 kmph. Even at that speeds, there are very few complaints.City mileage : 40-44 kmpl. Highway mileage : 45-48 kmpl. The best feature according to me is the silence of the engine. Its so damn smooth. The smooth engine and the very refined gear box are a match made in heaven. ( I am sure all unicorn lovers will vouch for this )The brakes, lights and mileage are the only features where the unicorn doesnt stand up to its high standards. The brakes tend to wear out in 24-30 months. The lights have usually been on the weaker side. But overall, it is a fantastic bike to own :-)Great looks, super performance, very comfortable.Go for it !!!
