This is the first time Im writting about Uni but based on the reviews mentioned here, I guess all of us have the same opinion that honda unicorn stand on top in its class. The uni have a mono-shock and a neat disk break etc etc are well known among the readers and users. Based on my experience there is no other 150CC bike have maintained this standard.
Last month we had a road trip to Coorg from Bangalore and we had to travel around 273 kms. Since the road was empty and thanks to the mysore minister for that awesome road. My uni touched 115 with my friend behind me, charging over on my friends Pulsar and a Cbz.
Pick up might be low compared to the other two but once it touch 60, the needle will stop only once we release the accelator. And I felt, riding comfort wise there is no comparison. My friends had a bad bach ache but I didnt feel tired at all. And to talk about Disc Brake, it floats on water. Thats the feel we get on riding and infact as its name tells, its a true Unicorn and feel the same sitting on it.
Let me come to the fuel injuction part. I filled 15 litres [ Full Tank ] petrol before travelling to Coorg and that was more than enough for me to go and come back and I would always suggest you to fill a 91 oct petrol like power, speed or Shell which would keep your engine smooth and gives you more mileage. I took Uni last July and its a year now.
I have run 16500 Kms so far and I haven changed any thing and zero maintanance. I would also recommend all of you to give your bike in the Honda service center since I did a mistake giving it outside and the worse part was, they took double the amount and didnt service it well. I know there are few issues with customer service however they does their work and take the right price. So all together Uni - Rocks...
