First of all Apologies .... this review isnt about the product. Its about their distributionship....I just cant believe that corruption is almost everywhere in the place.
Co incidentally three of our friends were looking for a two wheeler and so kept some thoughts on the Unicorn...
My first surprise - the dealership were saying around 8 months to get it delivered. The dealers were neither interested to talk to you nor attend or take orders ... maybe they have their numbers and so the common attitude - dont care ....
I just couldn’t believe this ....8 MONTHS FOR A BIKE ??????? dont you produce enough ??
The next part ... close to those dealers are people who would approached us -- pay around 80K and you would get this bike with a week or so.
HONDA - ARE YOU LISTENING ? 80 K for a bike that’s around 69 OTR.
Are you already aware of this crap and dont mind ? in that case whats the actual price of the bike ?
-and- WHERE IS THE SCARCITY for it THEN ?
We decided NOT TO PAY EXTRA ........so one of my friends had given his number to a bajaj distrubutor and after repeated calls from them, we have taken a very common bike of theirs - those are also very good....... and trust me ... we are convincing one more relative to go for these or the TVS bike...
Now ... for others ..... dont be completely bewildered ... as I was ... for nearly a month we had been doing homework .......... this is true for many parts in Kerala ... we even tried enquiring neighboring states for getting vehicles ..... heard that many do that as well...... went to nearby cities and also the nearby metropolitan city - with the same results ."pay 80K for the bike ... we were also bit scared about the TP’s whether this was legal or not
HONDA - I am now aware that there would be many fools who would be paying extra for your bikes - but - trust me - you wont get away too long with this .
Whats the use for releasing new versions when you cant meet the demand of existing ones..
