Amazing Bike But Not so amazing customer service

Between me and the Unicorn, it was love at first sight, or rathar first ride. The first unicorn I rode was my friends bike which is 2 years old. The funny thing is when I first started the bike, I pressed the button start almost 3 to 4 times, never realizing that the bike had started in the first go itself. But no engine sound. That my friends is amazing. My friend was laughing his guts out watching all this. I literally had to put my ear near the engine to confirm that the engine was on. And the ride was damn amazing. Smooth. Amazing braking. Smooth gear shift. Never did I have to struggle with this bike. It was like the bike knew what I wanted her to do and did everything by herself.

I booked the bike on the same evening. Now this is where the trouble starts. I booked my bike at Aditya Honda, which is the exclusive Honda showroom in Vasai. I am paying for my bike in Cash, All down, on delivery itself. And still I have been made to wait for a month. I keep on calling them to get an update on the delivery date, but their response doesnt sound that good. Now its close to 30 days and still no updates. I am kind of tired with this long wait.

I dont seem to understand whats the dealers problem to give the bike as soon as possible when the customer is willing to pay the whole amount, that too in cash at one go. They dont have to worry about any installments. They keep on giving reasons that the production only happens in gurgaon and demand is high. I believe them, but am losing my patience now. Plus the salespeople seem totally disinterested like they are doing a favour giving you a bike. Its always I who have to contact them. Never have I received any calls or updates from them at least for the sake of courtesy. This is irritating.

Sometimes I feel that if this is the level of service the dealers give the customer, right at the entry level, a customer will only be more worried thinking what happens next.

Any honda official reading this review should consider this review pretty seriously. I will definitely not shy away from stating that "the honda unicorn is the best bike, but is a victim of equally worse sales and marketing". Even though you create one hell of a marvellous machine, but i will definitely not be surprised to see the honda market collapse in the future. And god forbid if this happens, its definitely not the product, but the service to blame for it. So better pull up your socks and do something, before its too late. This is as crystal clear as i can get.

Regards
