Honda dealers- most unfriendly lot

I went through some of the stunning reviews about the unicorn and went to the showroom without much thought. Although, I’ve soft corners towards the pulsar, I did not hesitate to take a test drive of the unicorn. Although it was a short ride in a crowded street, I could not resist myself from booking the bike.

As most of the review says, I felt like riding a gentle beast. The silky smooth engine and the comfort of the mono shock was the best as per my little experience with bikes. And according to the overdrive review, the mileage it shows is close to what honda claims. The closest figure found by overdrive between actual and claimed mileage among any bike. That is one of the impressing facts and I always prefer to go by facts and not by claims.

I preferred the self start version, which they did not allow me to even book.

Me and the dealers were aware that HONDA is going to launch its self start version of unicorn very soon. Still, its not a very friendly decision not to allow me to book the bike. After one month or so, when the self start version came to market, they allowed me to book the bike and gave me a PROMISED PERIOD of 45 days(after a good fight).

Funny thing is: the promised period became tentative. Can anyone explain me what is tentative promised period?

When time came to deliver the bike (40 days later), on asking, they said that the bike will be delivered within 10 days(test of patience.. probably you can say). The most disappointing fact is I was said that the bike will be delivered, if I change my colour of choice.

After 5 visits and 4 fights they remember me very well. Whenever, I go to the showroom, they keep my documents ready in front of me (good reason to fight.. you can say). Still I should say, the honda dealers are the most unfriendly lot among all dealers. They are so overwelmed with the demand that, their business became charity with earning.

SO MY SUGGESTION WILL BE, IF SOMEBODY IS GOING FOR THE BIKE, JUST BEWARE OF THE DEALERS. THEY WON’T CHEAT YOU, BUT THEIR RESPONSE MIGHT NOT BE ACCEPTABLE.

I heard that the after sale service is better than others. So get worried to get your bike not the service.

I’ll be putting my next review on the technical aspects of the bike and my riding experience. Now, let me collect the bike now.
