Honor 7X Full Review with Pros & Cons

Quick Specs: 1. HiSilicon Kirin 659 ( Octa Core Processor) 2. 4 GB RAM, Mali T830 MP2 GPU3. 5.9 Full HD+ 18: 9 IPS LCD Screen ( 407 ppi) 4. 64 GB Internal Storage5. Dual SIM Nano ( Hybrid SDcard slot) 6. Dual Rear Camera 12+ 2 megapixels7. Front Camera 8 megapixels8. 3340 mAh Battery9. Fingerprint ScannerWhat I Liked about the Honor 7X: 1. BUILD QUALITY: It has a metal unibody design. It looks and feels very premium. The screen quality is also very good. The weight balance has also been done very well.2. BATTERY LIFE: Luckily, even after having such a large and good quality screen, the battery life on this device is very good. I was getting screen on time of about 5.5 hrs to 6 hrs. It can easily last a full working day.3. HEADPHONE JACK: The audio output via the 3.5mm headphone jack is also very nice. The sound signature is very good.4. SPEAKER: It has a single bottom firing speaker. The audio is decent. It is adequately loud and clear.5. PERFORMANCE: In day to day usage the Kirin 659 handles the phone very well. I didn’t notice any UI lag in my daily use. ( A few minor lags were noticed with casual to heavy usage.) 6. RAM MANAGEMENT: It had been done very well on this device. I did not have any problem while multitasking stuff.7. GAMING: It can play casual to mid-level heavy games without any issue. Even heavy games like Asphalt 8 can play without any problem in medium settings. It also does not have any overheating issue.8. CAMERA: The front facing camera is one of the best you can get. It also has portrait mode on the front but it’s sort of a hit or a miss. The rear facing camera is also very good in this price bracket. Colours are very much accurate. ( In very low lighting, the camera performance is not so good. The pictures come out to be grainy and very dark.) What I didn’t Like: 1. CHARGING: It doesn’t support any kind of fast charging. It takes almost 3 hours to charge fully which is very slow.2. SOFTWARE UPDATES: As it is an Honor phone, Android, as well as monthly security updates are very slow.CONCLUSION: Considering the price of this device, I think it is a very good device. Overall the camera performance is very good. It also looks very modern and stylish. I would say it is worth a try, and at this price it would not make anyone regret.
