Hello guys, In this review I’ll give you a detailed description of Honor 9 lite mobile phone based on my use and experience. This info might give a informed decision on whether you can buy this phone or not.
Spec - I purchased this phone on Flip Kart for the price of?11, 000. I’m using a 32Gb variant, the phone has a unique glass body design which makes the phone to look premier and it feels comfortable in holding the device. Its weight is too less compared to other phones which I used previously(Redmi Note 3). The phone has a Quad cam, its built in design is so superb. It has a LED notification light at the front, the rear cam is 13MP+2MP, 13MP+2MP Front camera, it has Octa Core CPU coupled with(4x2.36GHZ+ 4x 1.7GHZ). The device comes with Android 8.0 with EMUI 8.0, 14.4cm(i.e, 5.65 inch screen) FHD+ display, 3000mAh battery with Jio Volte support. It is a 2.5D Curved glass.
Performance - I’m using this device for a couple of weeks, the phones performance is good enough as for this price segment. The storage that is available out of 32Gb is 22Gb. I’m using single sim and a memory card. I didn’t face any issues till now, the device performance is good and awesome. I’ve tested the cam of this phone and it performs decent. With low light and artificial light conditions the with the rear camera it struggles to capture a detailed info from the object, but in outside condition it captures good shots with portrait, but in portrait photography the bokeh effect is not good, instead of that you can use wide aperture mode. The front camera is too good as it provides a bokeh affect and portrait shots is good. It has manual mode setting in which you can change according to your shots. I’ve tested a couple of high end games like Asphalt 8 and Modern combat 5. The device performed well as there was no frame drops or any lag while playing. I played the game for a quite about half an hour at the top of the finger print sensor it gets slightly warm as it is a glass body. Other than that no heating issues in it. I have installed more than 25 apps as I tend to install many editing tools and some softwares that I use often. The phones performs well with no issues at all. The call quality is also good, I tested using Vodafone and Jio. There were no issues regarding while receiving and answering calls. The face unlock features works well as it does a good job. The Finger print scanner also works fine and unlocks the device quick. Feels good and premium while using this phone. It has many features and other additional things, which is an good thing.
Battery Performance - The phone takes two and half hours to charge from 0 to 100%. But it lasts upto 9 hours with data on and usage of seeing videos, gaming and call.
All works fine and well. For an Budget oriented device the cost and performance of this is device is good enough and awesome.
