I have seen a lot of negative reviews on this host, but myself and two of my friends have sites hosted by hostonce.com and none of us have had any problems whatsoever. Their tech support has been fast and efficient, they seem to have a fairly decent uptime, and everything works. This is the best deal you will find for $4.95 a month. Only down side is ftp speeds are kind of limited. I haven’t seen more than 40kbps uploads, but then the vast majority can’t upload faster than that anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter. One thing to keep in mind is that while they offer ’’unlimited’’ space and bandwidth, there still IS a limit, which is explained in the terms and conditions. What they are implying is unlimited within reason. If you are taking the kind of space and bandwidth as, say, yahoo.com, of course they are going to want to charge you more. They have to make a profit somehow, and their own space and bandwidth has to be limited, unless they’ve figured out how to bend the laws of existence.

I’ve been with Hostonce for just over 2 years now and still have no complaints. They’ve gone up to $6.95 a month (I’m still paying $4.95) and have yet to notice any downtime. I’ve had one problem with a broken server-side component I needed for a script, but their support took care of it the same day I let them know about it. I have a second site hosted by hostonce now, and everyone I’ve recommended them to have been completely satisfied. Just thought I’d follow up on the review now that I have several years of experience with them...
