Hot Millions which is commonly called as HM is located in Sector 17 Chandigarh. There was a lot of talk back in the my school days by the senior pass outs that HM is one place to go and have fun. If you haven’t been to HM then you have not tasted the real Chandigarh. Though other places were also mentioned like Sec 22 Singh Chicken and Mehfil. I went there and I liked the ambiance and the crowd especially in the basement where one can easily enjoy booze with a very loud music.
HM is a fast food joint which also offers variety of Indian cuisine. It not only attracts college going youth but even the adults who come along with their family. You can order anything from Pizzas, burgers, desserts, sizzlers and even the veg curries and south Indian delicacies.The fact is in the following years when I went there again it just didn’t click, It seems now that it is way more hyped and living on the past reputation. Just like Delhi’s Nerula it has been identified as Chandigarh’s authentic food joint but the overpriced food with an average quality if not poor makes it a very outdated place to spend your time.
HM has various branches across Punjab and Haryana but they haven’t tried to change the overall look which is still same from more than a decade as many people have told me so. I had ordered Chinese sizzlers once which I enjoyed plus their homemade toffee bars are worth checking out. Apart from HM there are many other places in Chandigarh to have same food with better quality which would not impact your wallet like it does over here. Though I would give them a positive rating as whenever I went there ordered food was brought on time. Their service staff is good but they need to hire a think tank to move with the current times and improve their food and their overall infrastructure because even the seating arrangement is a bit tedious.
