Hey Brian how are you?
Brian who is Brian?
Oh brian is my brain!
You sick fella you have a name for your brain! Dont come near me.
Atleast I am on first name calling terms with my brain!
Does any of the above make any sense to you? If you say yes, well go to Hot Millions or what should this ideally have been about Hot Millions 2 with Down Under Pub.
Families can go for a toss, this place is for the hip crowd. Marketing strategy is pretty simple - we target only elite. Now who on earth does not want to be elite in the biggest pshopsha city in the country? So I guess you visualize a pub in basement (suitably called Downunder with good DJ and cheap beer but it is good one, esp. in Summers)? You are correct. What extra, no disco Sorry! Nice food, yes of all the varities diet, less diet, more diet and no diet. Biliards, silly computer games (did I not tell you it targets hip crowd?). No bowling alleys so far but would come up for sure. In times of yore, internet cafe was a huge attraction here and not certainly any more. Lemme collect anything else! Well thats just about it.
A quick check list:
Opens around 11:30 AM and closes at 2:00 PM (same timings for the bar)
Non veg and veg food available. South Indian dishes and continental, some international cusines like pizza n pasta and ofcourse the veg thali. Best Dish: Veg Thali and Manchurian. Veg Thali though has enough fat and that Shahi Panner and Tandoori Parantha is like so hot.
Token system though quite fast. You have to pick your order from somewhere, drinks from still somewhere and cutlery from still somewhere else.
Loud couples so dont look for any peace somewhere.
Pshopsha sells so dress like you are going for a freak show.
Dont go alone, they are a hated species there.
Average cost of outing per person - Rs. 150/- so thats cheap.
No innovative festival cuisines or soothing strings.
Cooperative staff, although like being addressed in English.

Salad Bar Complete anti thesis of above part. For families and hence, more suitable for sense and sensibility of a different freak type.
Vatika In Panchkula, in environment, nice and spacious amid greenery. Go for it on a date.
HM-35 In Chandigarh, 2 kms is considered a major distance and hence an outlet at every 2 kms. 35 is more of a family restaurant married to a bar type feeling and has same decor and some sophisticated setting in bar.
Although others like Mr. Burgers, Pizza Hut have opened their outlets, Hot Millions and Sindhi Sweets, the local chains continue to rule in Chandigarh and happen to be favorites hanging places on hippies. McDonalds has not even dared to open an outlet nearby!!!!!!!!!!
All in all a typical of the city - wild, crazy and absolutely banal.
