I went to jammu in january of 2013 with my family for darshan of vaishno devi dham on that time I stayed in hotel ambica, we were a group of four families.
As we did prebookings because it was the season in which a lot of people use to go for vaishno devi darshan. the room tariff was down to earth,
The rooms were cleaned and there was TV in the room for entertainment but the bathroom was not cleaned in one of the room, when we complaint they cleaned it urgently and also provided extra blankets.
The staff was very polite and humble, room service was good, the restaurant was simple, there was no music but the food quality was good. it was a stay is in reasonable price.
I suggest that if you are planing to go to jammu then hotel ambica will be in the list of good options and make sure you reserved the rooms.
