I recently visited Jaipur just before christmas, I had many options to stay in heritage hotels and all, but after reading tripadvisor I choose om niwas I was a bit dicey as it was a long time I visited Jaipur. I called them up and they were courteous enough to provide all the details.
The Rooms:-
There a 2 Bedroom apartments and 1 bedroom apartments, as 2 bedroom apartment was unavailable, and we were 4 friends traveling. We opted for(2) 1 bedroom apartments. Every apartment has a kitchen and living room attached, so your bedroom remains your private area, unlike a hotel where you only have one room. The living room has dining table, Sofa and center table. Both of my rooms had balconies as I requested, so there was ample sunlight in morning. You have menu card, jaipur guide etc and newspaper available in the room.
The kitchen has 300lts Fridge, a water boiling kettle tea, sugar and powder milk sachets, it also has some utensils available already.
The bedroom has side tables, dressing table, a double bed, cupboard and even a godrej locker inside the cupboard which you can number lock.
Both Living and Bedroom have TV with cable connection.
Bathroom not too big but is good enough, clean and laid out nicely. Provided with Linen for both bathing and hands, soap, bathing soap and shampoo, even bucket for ppl who do not prefer shower.
Cleanliness was top notch I am a clean freak and I had nothing to complain it was just too good the moment I saw clean rooms I loved the place. The balconies are nice and quiet, you have a small chair and table even in balcony. The view is not amazing but the serenity is good enough.
The Hotel:
The place has a beautiful terrace garden I will upload pics of it soon. There was ample parking space for our car and a garden just near the reception to complement. The place has 2 PC available at reception to surf internet or you can but Wi-Fi voucher and use your laptop in the room, speeds are amazingly good. There is a lift inside the place too which is huge enough. only drawback is location, if you are new you might find it a bit to located in Bani Park.
The restaurant:
The cafeteria is not very big but clean and food is fresh and just like home made, but do not order south Indian you will regret otherwise, north indian food is good enough. Prices are reasonable for the quantity provided, lunch thali was just too huge. Breakfast was complimentary and was nice. As per the menu please order 45 minutes before as they cook fresh so service is a bit slow. Menu is not too vast but good enough.
The Staff:
The staff is courteous and polite, they are always ready for help. This in all makes your stay more memorable, as room was booked for 4 ppl and we traveled only 3 they returned our rest of the money as one room was single occupancy although we did not even know about it. Hard to find genuine staff nowadays. Drawback - service is a bit slow.
Bookings are mandatory it would be better to contact them and book in advance. contact details at website - https://arya**niwas**.com/**omniwas**/
recommended for anybody who wants a long stay, or want private space being with friends and definitely family
The room for double occupancy costed me Rs. 2300/day including breakfast. I feel it was amazing for the price.
My rating 4/5.
