I made an online booking for a room at this place @ Rs. 680 /day The property looked economical and budget friendly and Bookings.com was offering huge discount as limited period offer which was difficult to resist. Upon arrival, the hotel reception gave a rude shock to us claiming that they do not have any link with the online website and they will charge Rs. 1360/ night.After a frantic search in nearby lodges and inn of that particular area, which were simply trying to exploit as much money from us, finally bargained and settled for Rs 1000/day. In fact the Contact no. for the property: 9163966786 as displayed in the booking.com website is also fake and unreachable as per the owner of the property. After spending few days in Digha, realized that I have been overcharged. could have got better places offline, had I not availed the online route. Had to tolerate their dirty bedsheets, unhygienic washroom and smelly room.I would request Bookings.com to take cognisance of the matter and take suitable action to protect consumers against this kind of fraud and cheating.
