Its conveniently situated on the corner of millers and cunningham right opposite relience timeout so you cant miss it. Its the ground floor of a tall building that god knows houses what but Chandrika is just too good for the office crowd and so there is hardly any place during lunch hours on week days.
Their south indian thali(rs. 35) is good enough and so is the north indian thali(skip the usual soup) but just go ahead and order the crunchy hot vadas and absolutely try out the piping hot aloo bonda during evening.
Infact I can say that the gobi manchurian here(a cross between heavily spiced veg manchurian and gob ki sabzi, the evil invention of one creative madrasi) is definately the best Ive had, and Ive had a few since my husband decided that this was to be my introduction to south indian cuisine!
In the evenings, they serve piping hot puri sabzi and though its nothing like what you get up north, it still has a unique taste of its own. The sabzi thankfully is not the typical sagoo variety(orange in colour and a little gooey)!
They have an exhaustive menu of the usual south indian tiffin snacks, north indian, chinese, juices and icecreams and most of them are standard tasty fare. These are fairly priced as compared to anyother standing space chain-restaraunts.
Its a sit in only and therefore thorough value for money.
