This is a long pending review of my Coorg trip on Sep 2007. Me & my wife started from Bangalore by Rajahamsa at 05:00 PM thursday to enjoy Coorg with site seeing and ethnic lunch over the extended weekend vacation. We came to know that we will reach Coorg only by 12:30 AM on the day to start from Bangalore, but took that option to utilize all the time we have for vacation, a big mistake in the start!
As we landed in Madikeri busstand, we chose to get an auto rather than waiting for the hotel car, the second mistake. After checking in to the hotel, realized that we had left my office laptop in the auto itself. Thanks to the helpful hotel staff, we got the laptop back after 3 hours stranding in the busstand. The hotel staff along with the local auto drivers support went to the driver’s house to find that he is trying to meddle with it and restore it from him safe. This is the start of our memorable Coorg trip.
First day, we went on our own to Thalai Cauvery and enroute places after enjoying a bit of stroll. The food in the hotel was good and their service was awesome.
Second day, it was site seeing part of the package with ethnic lunch. It was a tiring day and the estate jeep drive for lunch was thrilling. After a brief chat with our host, we found that our host is the partner of Coorg Intl hotel, Mr.Uthapa & his wife. A good lunch in the valley view estate. They have some rooms too in their estate and we decided our next trip to Coorg will be only to their guest house in the estate! A nice calm place to forget all the other stuff!
