We had recently stayed in Dhruv palace just for one night , and our experience was horrible.Not just we, but many of the guests who had cheked in at that time. No doubt The Hotel is beautiful, centrally located, and decently done up, but the staff has extremely high handed attitude. I was offered a lower rate over the phone twice, and when we actually went there, they hiked up the price, and refused to comment or admit any error. The bed sheets and pillow covers were used by previous guests and not replaced.
The dustbin stinked. When we reported that the bedsheets be replaced, they straightaway refused, and they even threatened us, to leave if we cannot use the same room with used linen!! We had infant and kids with us, and it was extremely annoying to see that such a good hotel is managed by such incompetent people. We could see many other guests who were having a good deal of argument with the hotel staff for their such high handed behaviour. The restaurant was in a really bad shape.
Our order was taken only after we waited for 45 min. The food offered was half cooked and saltless.We could see people getting frustrated and walking out of the restaurant. The person who has built this hotel-has done a really good job by building such a beautiful hotel. If care is taken on the staffing and cleanliness, I am sure the hotel will do really well not just with indian tourists but even with foreigners.I hope the concerned authorities read my review and act upon it.
