Hey all ..yeah so here goes my third review in this site. I stay in bangalore and we decided to go on a second honeymoon to Ooty. I had a lot of dreams about my second honeymoon and was kinda disappointed when everyone else in the family suggested that we stay in a budget hotel and not in a le meridien or taj. My dad booked us in this Hotel, at a cost of around 800/night. I was quite convinced then, that this trip was going to turn out depressing thanks to the budget room that probably wont have even the basic necessity. But lo and behold ! ..we were booked in a deluxe room, and the room was bright and spacious, had temp control, hot water to drink and to bathe. The bathrooms are equipped with nice little wash basins and bath tubs. The rooms are utterly clean with a beautiful view across the hills. This hotel is right by the fountain in charring cross and is a stone’s throw away from any place you wish to go to, may it be the boat house, centenery park, rose garden, coonor train or the thread park (by the way, this is by the boat club and the thread park is well worth the visit, dont miss it !). we stayed there for 2 days, roamed around all we could. The food in the hotel restaurant is quite good, this hotel has enough space for parking, the reception desk and the room boys are quite friendly. extra pillows and mattresses are at no cost (you can give them some 10-20 bucks if you think that’s ok). The have a nice TV that actually works quite well, has all channels and a little trolley that you can push over, to your huge double cot. What more can a person ask for ! ..I highly recommend this hotel for large families or for couples who wanna have a nice break from small dingy rooms that come at a high cost.
