This is my personal experience regarding my last month shillong visit. I booked three standard double bed rooms online and paid Rs. 2500/- as an advance to their icici bank account and confirmed booking. I reached shillong on 23rd Mar 2011 at 4 Pm and I saw that the hotel is going for renovation job on almost 80% rooms. anyway they gave us three rooms where newly paint smell was stinking a lot so that I changed the hotels immediately and my two friend stayed as my son having alergy of paint smell.
I shifted to Stayin Guest house just opposite to micasa hotel. Next day morning my both friends complained to me that throughout the whole night their workers sang and danced with wines and loudspeaker and they felt very insecurity. immediately we completely checkout that hotel. on the same day we go to their restaurant as we heard that their restaurant is one of the best in shillong...
We were wrong....i must admit that their food quality is very good but I must say that never goto their restaurant (if you are not from North East community). Every time we went there they treat us like beggers and we protest at the last day that why are u treat us like this without any reason. They simply told us that do not come to our hotel or restaurant from next time....i mean this is really horrible...i mean we are all Indians but how can they treat us like ? - Dipak Ghosh
