Last week we went to Tirupati. It was a last minute booked PLR Grand. The hotel is located at a very very convenient location in the heart of the city.
Reached temple town around midnight.
Didnt have much lugage so walked down to the hotel from train station. It is 5-10 mins walks from station just next to the bus stand. It is also 10-15 min walk from Govind Swamy temple, so u can start ur pilgrimage from here in the morning.
Anyway, we reached the hotel, front desk was very busy even at that hr but the staff was v friendly & fast to clear the bookings. It will be useful if you keep ur address proof original handy with yourself. PAN card is not an address proof.
The room; we lodged in room 210. It has all the neccessities of the mordern day, AC, LED TV, Sky TV, intercomm, warm water, room servive etc. Room was big & very neat & clean. The bed was cosy & very comfortable. We had a good sleep after a tasty dinner
As we had late evening Darshan time @ Balaji temple so we started late. Had bath & breakfast ( complimentary)
Breakfast menu was not exotic but good. They served Idli, dosa, puri-sabji, upma, halwa, pan cakes, bread, cornflakes, fruits, juice, tea & coffee. if you are diabitic then you can also order sugarfree tea or coffee.
As check-in/out time are 12-12 so we had sufficient time. Travel desk suggested that we should cover Govindswami ( ?10 tkt) followed by Padma temple ( ?100) before proceeding to the Balaji temple.
The hotel also provides the clock room for lugauge & stores the mobile phone. This was very helpful as it saves lots of time at all the temples to deposit the things.
Over all it was a very good experience @ PLR.
The best part, all this for sub ?1500
Thank you all @ PLR Grand
