Horrible terrible - i wish there was -ve rating

Some more exp:

1. Room Service:

a. Order a tea, be ready to pay for brown water with too much of sugar(Hope it was sugar). Call the room service to know the status of your order, the person on the other end will giggle as if you are making a joke. Yell at the person and get the tea served in your room. You will have to wait for at least 30 to 45 mins to get the tea served in your room and you should to be ready to yell at room service.

b. Ask for your room to be cleaned, the wait time here is not in mins. its hours. You need to call them for follow up. Finally they will send someone to clean. You will know that the relevant department was not informed. Make a scene and get your work done.

c. Ask the laundry to be picked your clothes for ironing, waiting time 2 hrs if – I) you should be ready to follow up. ii) be ready to create a scene / yell at the staff.

2. Food: Pawan has already described it well. I will add some more exp:

The food was first served as snacks on day one; menu: Idly, Wada, Chatni, Sambhar, Aloo Paratha, Tea and Coffee:

Let’s start will idly; best thing will be to ask a south Indian to eat the so called idly, that person will for sure doubt if he or she knows how idly actually tastes. For the first time I ate idly which tasted very close to lemon.

Then comes the Wada, well I can’t comment on the taste; seeing how much oil it had, I passed it.

Let’s see how the Chatni was: I feel they must have used only one coconut to make two litres(not KG) of chatni. Rest I leave up to your imaginations.

Sambhar: I didn’t eat it but the second hand opinion was chatni was better option than Sambhar.

Now comes the biggest disaster – aloo Paratha; well what should I say; I was wishing if I was not a Punjabi to see / eat this recipe.

Tea / Coffee: well. it’s was same brown water with lots of sugar and less milk.

After this disaster snacks many guest either vomited or had upset stomach. We requested them to improvise on the dinner and for day 2 menu. But to our shock it went further down in the valley.

I seriously can’t describe the menu as I didn’t eat anything. I survived on salads(wishing it was washed and chopped properly and hygienically) and buttermilk. Thankfully these two things were eatable.

Here comes the barat dinner: we were hoping that at least this will be good; but they seriously maintained the quality of food and service. While the waiters started arranging pre-served plates even before the guests arrived at the table(Too prompt service). Well, we requested them to hold their horses, and arrange the empty plates and serve if not hot and fresh(I doubt if the food was even Fresh) at least warm food. But they were head bound to arrange the pre-served plates. I seriously wish to know the institute where they got this kind of training.

Finally came the late night Tea during the Fere ceremony. There were around 25 guests attending the ceremony. We asked the hotel staff to serve tea and coffee; it took them more than an hour and yelling for 3 people to sever tea / coffee to 25 guests.

Day 3 Breakfast: After the PLEASANT experience of various meals served for last two days we decided the we will ask for specific menu for day 3 breakfast. So, on the day 2 end we requested for Sandwich and Upma(being light on stomach and easy recipe) to be served for Day 3 Breakfast. Considering the promptness and efficiency of the staff; We had to review on day 3 morning if the request was given any consideration. As expected they did what they had to and the request was not given any heat. So finally, we did what we had to do – yell, make a scene and told them to cancel the breakfast. And, this worked and they finally served sandwiches(eatable, better than any other thing cooked in the hotel), Upma(we could eat it) / Chatni(they maintained the above quality), Chole/Bhature(for a change quality was above average), Tea / Coffee(less brown, little more Milk and sugar to taste). Finally we got food which was worth eating.

So, if you wish to ruin your holiday/function please check into this hotel. If you have the stamina to yell at every possible staff member and you can create scene; please go ahead and book stay here.

Suggestion: Carry a pre-recorded yelling message so that you can save your energy as the food served will not anything to your energy.
