Memorable Experience

*Mahabaleshwar is mystically beautiful.I have been to Mahabaleshwar so many times but it still continues to attract me.

May be it is because it is a complete holiday experience encompassing, a beautiful lake and boating, tall and handsome stallions horse riding, dense forest, lush green mountain ranges carpeted with thick foliage, the red mud, the panoramic sunrises and sunsets, the table lands, the precarious viewing points giving you exhilarating view of the Sayadharis and the deep valleys with riviers snaking thru the valleys.

The Raj type villas, the crisp and clear mountain air, the wind chill factor after sunset, the romance of eateries inviting you with their colorful lights, the honeymoon couples strolling the market arm in arm, the ultra delicious concoction of fresh strawberries/mulberry with fresh cream and crushes, the corn pattice and corn pakodas to enjoy in highway eateries against the forest backdrop. Long drives thru forrests on a snaking road.

Mahabaleshwar is always value for money. More so now with magnificient roads between Mumbai and Mahabaleshwar which are almost like expressways on which you can safely cruise around 80-90 kmph the drive itself is a part of the overall experience. Add to that a ultra modern resort built to international standards encompassing great luxury and service and you have a memorable holiday for your family with kids.

The Saket Plaza

Rooms (cottage )are ultramodern extremely well done up and very neat and clean. The housekeeping responds to beck and call. They have everything a waterfall, a pool with a waterfall, a tree house to sit amongst branches, beautiful landscaping, a mini theater, a beautiful restaurant. The entire hotel staff seems to be well trained to maintain excellent customer relationship and care. They served my parents with great care and patience.

Creatives like a pool shimering in changing lights at night, coloured fountains are a great experience as you sit back to relax later in the evening. Food is good and there is a lot of variety in the packagedeal. Only food though fresh crisp, well prepared and served with great flair and great variety was once in a while a little wanting in delicacy. There is scope for improvement here to match the Resort’s phenomenal standards.

Hotel is situated in wooded area and quite in the night. The Cottage Room with two bathing areas- a bathroom with a large jacuzzi and a sort of an open air (plastic roofing & enclosed) rainshower (hot water), with all meals for us couple and our 12 year kid cost me 18000/- for 3N. A tad expensive but value for money all the way.
