Sherlocks End is a heritage bungalow converted into a hotel. The entire bungalow is themed after Sherlock Holmes. The rooms are named after the cases handled by Sherlock Holmes and you will find pictures of the key character and the key clues in your room which will want to make you read that paticualr case from adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
There are nine rooms in the bungalow, each one comes with a fully functional fire place. The luxury rooms come with a sit out area which over looks the green lawns. The view of the hills and the tea estate from the lwan is spectacular. The living area and the dinning hall is dotted with furnitures that remind you of the old world charm. These are the same furnitures that were there in the mansion even a century ago. There dinning hall, named after Irene Adler, the woman Sherlock Holmes once quoted as the perfect woman has a sunroof and actually that part of the entire mansion gives a more spanish courtyard feel rather than a Victorian cottage.
The menu in Sherlock offers you Chinese, Continental and Indian and I definitely recommend the food in Sherlocks. I particular like the breakfast, where a very friendly chef fries bacons, ham and eggs infront of you and according your taste. The service is what had attracted me towards the hotel. I had stayed in a different property owned by the same group and was very impressed by the service, and thus expected similar service even here, and trust me Sherlock did not disappoint me at all. My best experience there was when the staff arranged for a horse ride. It was different because the ride was into the woods, instead of the crowded traffic area near the lake.
A stay in Sherlock will cost you anywhere between 2275 and 3275, depending upon the season and the room. The food prices are little on the higher end, but its worth it.
