I have been to Ooty in off season in Nov 2009 and stayed at TTDC ooty. Mentioned below is my feedback for the same.
A good budget/Economy class hotel which you can think for without much expectations.
Location is good and close to Charring cross, the main market area of ooty. Peaceful locality.
Old hotel, the rooms are Old with old furniture. Yet clean rooms.
Room Service is not so good.
Restaurant is not so good. Prefer to eat at restaurant at charring cross only.
Good to stay with family not suitable for honeymoon.
Overall: If you have high expectation with Room quality and service then try avoiding this hotel.
However, if you do not have much expectation and want to spend most of time outside room watching nature beauty or roaming around charring cross then it is good hotel.
