Talking about pokhra, it is a beautiful town surrounded by mountains on one side & lake on the other side.
You can reach pokhra by Air or By Bus from kathmandu.The limitation is that the bus leaves to & from pohra in the morning only.But the air service is available till 4.30 in the evening.
Best part is that you can take bike for roaming around at a reasonable rate of Rs 400-800 depending upon its engine cc & looks.
This place is having great restaurants. You can watch sunrise or sunset from nagarkot hill which is around 15 kms from pokhra.
Places to see are Bat cave, world Peace Pagoda(Do take bike for reching this place as the taxi would cost very high), lake, shiva temple and ofcourse the scenic beauty around this place is awesome.
Sunrise & Sunset views are priceless.
You can have any kind of food here like continental, indian, chinese etc.
The best part is that indian currency is easily acceptable here(But this is limited to 50 & 100 rupees notes only).People here are friendly & honest.
