Draining movie

House of wax is a story that had the usual twist of story of travel gone wrong. Basically the movie is a commonn senario and have scenes which are already expected to happen. It seems you are watching a summary of other suspense-horror movies. Though it was a remake of a 1953 movie and had a big budget, the movie is really a draining one. I’m a fan of a suspense -thriller/horror movies but this one is a dismay.Though they got a excellent cinematography they still need to venture into more interesting and justified plot.

House of wax simply introduced a group of 6 friends who decided to witness the biggest football game game of the year. But unfortunately, they ended up to a road of no return.

Each character in the movie had their share to experience and went through a lot of pain.

Carly (Elisha Curtbert) the star who was most likely to survive planned to move to New York but her boyfriend Wade( Jared Padalecki) was indeed hesitant and found the idea pointless.Nick (Chad Michael) Carly’s brother was the bad guy in the group with Dalton (John Abrahams) who took charge in documenting the entire activities or the every move of his group.

On the other hand, Paige (Paris Hilton) Carly’s bestfriend was pregnant by her boyfriend, Blake (Robert Richard).though that pregnant , she was hesitant to tell Blake about her pregnancy.

The twists and turns of the movie as expected came to the point of that the entire casts’ life cycle so to speak ended in this town and became wax sculptures in the House of Wax.

Funny thing was, I was reminded of the exhibit here in the Philippines many years ago, the Wax Museum, it did send me a chill to my nerves thinking that what ifs in the movie do exist in the wax museum too.Quite naive , I told myself. Well the movie actually wowed me too specially the last part where everything was to melt down.

I felt the regret of seeing such masterpiece come to an end as in"melting down", it gave me the other perspective in life that sometimes great work of art or master pieces disguised into many representations in life have to end tragically. What a waste! But well, it’s somehow in this movie , I rather put it this way... a work of art.

How about you? You may try viewing it.There might be angles that I failed to see and gave you another side of the House of Wax to appreciate and consider about.
