After hey baby, much was expected form Sajid Khan, well there’s no show guys this time, this one is a big let down. The only saving grace for the film was the performance by their actors, other than that its a disaster.well I saw this movie because it was "the most awaited movie of the year" , it had akshay kumar in it , and Sajid said that this will break the record of 3 idiots. OVERCONFIDENCE!
Coming to the plot of the film, its about Arush(Akshay Kumar). no he is not the same Arush you have seen in Hey Baby, its just the opposite. He is infact introduced as a loser in the film, had a break up change place, goes to his friend BOB(Ritiesh Deshmukh), marry with his boss’s daughter Jiyah Khan who leaves her on the wedding nite itself, and then meets Sandy (Deepika Padukone) who saves her life when he is trying to commit suicide in the middle of sea and sandy comes from nowhere. Kind of weird. they get along and then comes twist and turn and you know what is gonna happen so don’t worry this will not test your brain.
Talking of acting, all were good, akshay, lara, reteish, arjun, deepika, boman all play their role to perfection. You’ll enjoy seeing chunkey pandey’s saying mama miya. he is fun. Lilet Dubey is wasted. I wonder what was Jiyah Khan doing in this film, sporting a bikini I suppose. Randhir Kapoor was irritating. The story doesnt facinates you much, because its the same old story of a loser turning a winner. music is a big letdown. only two songs are worth listening "Dhanno" and "O girl u r mine". the direction was pretty ok. cinematography was top notch.
there are only few scene that can tickle your funny bone, one of them being the Gay scene which makes you remember he Kantaben sequence. other was the scene where they produce African child as a grandson to Boman Irani. the climax scene till santa banta was good, after that it is pathetic.The only reason this film got a good start was because of its amazing marketing, other than that this film has nothing in it to survive over a week. Now waiting for badmaash company. I hope Shahid doesn’t deliver another Dud. looks good in promos.
