My wall hanged fan stopped working. I came to know about housejoy earlier from posters advertising, and it came to my mind, also I remembered that they had some good offer on 1st service. So decided to go for it.
Firstly, I downloaded its app. Good thing is that app size is <5 mb. App is pleasing to eye. Many categories are there but some are not available. Categories like mobile/laptop/appliance repair, electric, cleaning, etc. Almost all needed for households. Got a notification of 300 rs off on 1st service so was eager to book.
Then I went to fans option, since nothing was matching my problem, called executive for inspection. I thought first their executive will inspect & tell me cost estimate and then I will decide whether to go ahead or not. Also FAQ said the same. So booked . executive came 2 hours late. I asked him that there are no inspection charges or not, he said I dont know. He repaired the fan and asked to pay 250 rs. Nothing was told in detail, I thought I will pay from wallet as I had 300 off. Then he called their superior. She was also telling me to pay in cash, I told about 300 off. She says you need to book from app for that, which I did, but she denied. Finally, she agreed & I was relieved. When my dad came at night, he said i, for this work max 100-150 rs was enough & then I realised I made a mistake in eagerness to get it done in less price as I had 300 off. But yes, I got it done free & work was good but from Housejoy.in side it was careless work & tension was created, which was not needed.
