I didn’t discover MouthShut I was asked to join by a friend, Pam, potter.
The first review I wrote I saw that friends I had from other website were writing here as well.
There was Cousin, Pete, samsat, nikki_leads, Ray, Guile176, Donnie013, tabyorky, abadabby, ed_grovner, ashford, 2atbirth, meleah1, bwanamdevu and asyis so my first reviews were rated by them.
I love to read good reviews and they all write better than I do. I hope if you have time you’ll read their reviews because they don’t write here too much any more.
Today 393 members trust me and 19 don’t and I guess that’s normal because every one can’t love you. I’m guity of not leaving a lot of comments but I feel that why rating should tell you how I feel about your review.
I try and read and rate as many reviews as I can. I try and rate fair and of course people get mad if they don’t like my rating.
When I first began writing here on January 4, 2002, you could redeem your points if you wrote here for 6 months. When the tragedy happened in NYC and Washington D.C. the management decided without telling us that points would no longer be redeemed.
I don’t write here as much as I did because I got angry when I couldn’t donate the points I had collected to the tsunami fund. I asked them to use MS’s name for the donation so they could get a tax deduction. I heard back that the would think about it. Then I heard nothing.
This site is very different that the one that was here when I started writing here. I believe it’s been upgraded at least 3 times.
MouthShut makes their money from the companies that we write about. Site development costs a lot of money and you can imagine how much they have made from all the members.
So many of my friends have left MouthShut and gone to sites that pay them. I write on three other sites but I will never stop writing once in a while for MouthShut.
