You need to prepare for TOEFL???
If you can read my question and understand what I am asking, suggests that YOU DONT NEED TO PREPARE FOR TOEFL.
TOEFL- Test of English as a Foreign Language is a very simple and easy test that evaluates the English proficiency of an individual. It is a prerequisite to admissions in Universities in US/UK/ Australia/ Canada etc. for the International Students whose native language is NOT ENGLISH.
About TOEFL
TOEFL is administered as Computer Based throughout the world. It has following sections:
Listening, Structure, Reading and Writing, all of which are mandatory.
In listening section you will hear a passage and the questions following it wil be related to what you have heard. For this section its better to get hang of the American accent.
In the writing section you will be assigned a topic selected by the computer from a pool of topics. You will be given the choice of handwriting your response or typing it on computer.
The TOEFL fees are US$110

Get comfortable with American accent
Start watching a lot of American movies. Jokes apart, you need to make yourself well conversant with the American accent. How you do it, is your look out. Watching Discovery and other channels and listening to them attentively can help you in the process.
English basics
If you are from a vernacular background you will have to get your English basics in place. Your grammar and vocab needs to be good to average to scale the test with a decent score.
Take up a few practice tests
Go through a few simulated TOEFL tests to know what kind of questions are asked and how comfortable you are with testing on computer.
Nothing much to advice on as its a very easy test. Many get a good score without any preparation.
