This drive was absolutely painless to set up. it’s formatted for Windows, but reformatting for Mac is very simple. Plug it in, it pops up on your desktop. Go to Disk Utilities(utilities folder in Applications), choose the drive, then Mac from the drop-down format menu. It reformats the drive quickly and easily.
File transfer is very fast on my MacBook Pro, and it works seamlessly with Time Machine for backups(just choose it as your backup disk when you open the application). The fact that the drive is "future-ready" for USB 3.0 is also a big plus.
