I bought a HP Desk Jet 1050 printer(All three in one printer) from a reputed computer shop in Trivandrum on 24-03-11. Recently, one hinge of the lid above the scanner was torn off. Since it was within the warranty period, I earnestly reported the same to the HP service center in Trivandrum. The answer from the service center was disappointing. They said that if the printer has any outward, physical problem, they are not liable to repair. If the printer machine has any complaints, they are ready to give another one.
Further, they advised me to repair the problem by myself. I did not expect such uncanny response from an international company.
Soon I approached a private shop and he fixed the problem with ease for a buck of Rs.400/- My question is how can an international branded company like HP can behave like this. I would like everyone to know it.
