I have a HP 6L pro laserjet printer which developed a problem. I sent it to HP service who said the fuser assembly had to be replaced at a cost of Rs.9, 000. The money was paid and the printer received after repair. To my shock, the printer exhibited the same problem again. IT HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED! This is not an isolated incident. Several of my friends who own HP products have had similar experiences with their service department. HP service is out to take its customers for a ride.
The printer worked well when it worked, for about 3 years. Print quality was decent, toner economy was not too bad either. Occasional paper jams, but there is no way the paper jam can be cleared except by brute-force pulling it out. It has a fairly small footprint too. However, once it fails, there is no point sending it to HP Service. They extract your money and do nothing. I could have bought a new printer for a little more than what I gave to the HP Service team.
NEVER BUY A HP PRODUCT!
