I don’t know exactly if this is the right place to put review on this laptop edition by HP. I am writing the same here because it is the latest one in the dv6000 series.
This is good laptop with good features inside it. It is having Intel Centrino Processor Platform. And came with Core2Duo 2.00GHz.. It came with 3GB of RAM, 250GB disk, NVidea GeForce 8400 MS graphics card nad LightScribe enabled DVD Writer.
Display is 16"4 inches. Other features are BlueTooth, QuickPlay touch panel, Remote control, Wi-Fi etc. It is having all compatible ports for readi/write to outside memory such as SD Cards etc. It came with Windows Vista Home Basic edition licensed and set of useful softwares to protect and maintain you laptop in good way such as Recovery Manager, Norton Internet 2008 etc.
Also it is having 1.3MP webcam which is not that much great but its usable in maximum conditions. Also graphics card by NVidea is good for maximum recent games but actually this card series is not designed specially for games but it for high defination video processing. So sometimes you won’t get highly anticipated performance for some of the games.
Battery performance is good in all cases. It will support different types of power modes. Generally it will give good power performance for 3 and half hours for balanced mode. On power saver mode it will go beyond 5 hours whereas on high performance mode it will stay for 2 hours. Sounds provided by Altec are good enough to enjoy the music.
Look and feel of laptop’s smooth body is really great. People notices this laptop instantly because of its black glazy look. It is also having built-in-body shock absorbers to prevent excessive damage to laptop in a case accidental scenario. Also remote control has been provided to enable maximum user operations from distance. So you just need to know button on remote and you can do almost everything that can be done using mouse.
In all this is really good laptop with price tag around Rs 54500 /- plus if you have good bargain power you will additional accesories for free such as Pen Drive, LCD Cleaner, Headphone etc.
This proves to be good buy for anyone who deals with rigourous application development on daily basis and needs performance for the same. Plus it is good entertainer because of advanced functionalities provided on QuickTouch panel and remote. Another advantage is that it’s DVD drive is LightScribe enabled which means laser labling technology to name your cd/dvds So forget the color markers from now on!!
