Pavilion sleek series was one of the best series in HP. This laptop was gifted by my dad on my birthday. It’s been almost 4 months now and I want to share my experience with you guys. My dad’s hard earned money was worth gifting me this laptop. HP 14-B004TU is designed for everyday use and handles all applications and all medi core games.

Display:
Stunning beautiful and gorgeous. Only these three words can explain about HP’s display. Pavilion is equipped with 1366x768 pixels HD LED screen which has almost the mac pro’s stunning display quality. It enriches true high definition colours in depth compared to dell and other brands. Display adjusts accordingly to the usability and saves battery. I personally prefer 14 inch rather than carrying a big 15.6 inch laptop. It doesn’t have much variation compared to these both size displays.
Performance:
Truly saying the performance of this laptop is proportionally equal to the price. The latest core i3 serves at its best in almost every aspect. Intel has provided a turbo boost technology that boost up the processor from 1.8 ghz to 2.3 ghz in extreme usage of cores. 4 gb ram is more than enough for my usage. There was never been a lag nor a hang.
Usually, I surf a lot on web and watch HD movies and a bit of gaming. Though this sleek book comes with Intel 4000 HD graphics it won’t give best results at gaming which is a bit disappointment but still I don’t consider it a major flaw as I’m not fond of games. Inbuilt windows 8 is another major advantage for smooth performance of this monster. Some heavy programs like Photoshop may give some glitches to open but it handles better when it’s get used to it. Inbuilt front camera captures some good pictures and video as well, no glitches in Skype if you have good internet connection.
There are one 2.0 and two 3.0 USB ports strongly built and deliver good speed rates. Overall in comparison to the hardware performance can be rated as a champ.
Battery Life:
I’m happy with the battery results, as mentioned it won’t give me 6 hrs of back up but it delivers around 3.5 to 4 hrs battery backup under normal usage. Another major flaw I can see in battery is, it takes almost 4-5 hrs to charge from zero to 100. I confirmed at the service centre, they said it’s normal. With dim display, without internet whenever I do my documentation work it gives me around 5 hrs of battery backup. I think it’s quite impressive compared to other brands.

Final Words:
I’m loving my father’s gift, Though he doesn’t have a great knowledge on tech gadgets, he inquired a lot and researched a lot for me. Finally, if you are planning to buy a laptop around Rs.30, 000, then book this laptop now.
No other brand can produce a better laptop than this at this price range. Be cautious, if you are a gamer then this is not for you.
