Hrishi Da was a wonderful film maker whose only aim was to entertain people without hurting any body. His moview were simple easy on mind and wonderful music. Real cocktail of age old wine. Whether it was Chupke chupke or Gol maal or Anand each one of them had that mild fragrance of emotion, comedy, simple sets and wonderful songs. In short he was a great doctor who knew his patients well and his treatment just optimal. Alas we do not have such film makers now who could depict all emotions of life be it be love or any other emotion with such touch that you could watch the movie any number of times with any person around. Whether it was any scene or dialogue you never had to duck. Today we have film makers who can only show emotions physically not emotionally as Hrishida used to do. Hrishikesh Mukerjee if he had any negative, my personal feeling could be that it was trying to give Bangla touch to his movies. Probably he made Hindi and Bangla movies simultaneously.
