My husband has been with HSBC Bank since 12 yrs.He was with the Mumbai Branch n in 2005 we shifted to Kochi n transferred the A/c to Kochi Branch.I found the Kochi Branch services substandard.They hve now shifted to a very spaciuos office n probably thatz made the staff very lethargic.
Recently I went thru a very harrowing experience bcoz of my Relationship Manager’s callous attitude.
The branch is run by a lady staff who goes around with an attitude with scant regard for the customer’s query -since I wasn’t well versed in banking "technology".
There is nobody to answer telephone calls.When I told this ’staff’ that I’ve been trying to contact her-she says sweetly"thatz what we hve call centres fo maam". Actually it was the Call Centre which had misinformed me n thatz why I was trying to contact the branch -this inspite of having a ’Relationship Manager"
Finally I went to the Branch n asked to see the Branch Manager.The Staff at the May I Help U counter what it was reg-n when I told her it was for to bring to his notice reg some complaints.She told me he was not at office.I now realise it was the 2nd time in a span of 12 mnths that they had denied me permission by saying the same reason that he is not in office which can’t be co incidence.
All the talk of Multinational Banks providing better services is all eye wash.I also have account with a Nationalised Bank where u r allowed to meet the Chief Manager with any request/complaint.
Here the staff is not well informed n they cover up their mistakes by not allowing the Customer to meet the Branch Manager.The whole experience was an eye opener for me n thatz why I decided to share my views.
All I can say to anybody is STAY AWAY FROM HSBC KOCHI BRANCH
